Trail Mix Snack for Toddlers

My boys eat a lot and love their snacks. I took a close look at our monthly grocery bill and realized we were spending a ridiculous amount of money on snacks. I decided I could either change their eating habits and not let them snack anymore or had to come up with inexpensive snacks. Option one is out of the question because like I said...they love to eat and I'm not going to deprive them of food. So, I recently came up with a new snack and it was a huge hit! It is pretty healthy, except for the M&M's, but in one serving they really only get about 5 M&M's, so it's a nice treat for them. Once you buy all the ingredients you can make plenty of batches. I spent about $12.00 on all the ingredients, but I think it will last me the whole month, so it ends up costing only $3.00 for the week. I myself love it too. Here is a list of ingredients to make a trail mix your toddlers will love!

Whole Grain Honey Nut Chex Cereal
Pretzels
Raisins
Dried Apricots
M&M's
